Townline Art Fair - Door County WI.

  • Fine Line Designs 10376 Wisconsin 42 Sister Bay, WI, 54234 United States (map)

I was so excited to be invited as a juried artist back up in my happy place, Door County, WI.

The lawn at Fine Line Designs Gallery was filled with art and artisans when the gallery hosted its annual Townline Art Fair.

What a wonderful weekend this was. The steady stream of cars flowing in was quite a sight to see! It was a great turnout, except for Sunday morning when the Packers were playing over the pond at 8:30 am our time. Nothing happens in Wisconsin while the Packers are playing, so it was expected.

I have to say it was an emotional weekend for me. I met so many wonderful people, and a few of my original paintings found their owners. It is very humbling to know that my paintings connected with someone so much. One of my favorite paintings, “Wave”, left with it’s wonderful new owner. She told me how my painting connected with her and brought fond memories of her late father and the time they spent on the shores. I am so very honored that it brings her much joy. Another wonderful couple on their anniversary, as a gift to each other, chose another favorite of mine, “On the Rocks”. Every year for their anniversary, they invest in an original artwork as a memory of where they had traveled for their joyous occasion. What an awesome idea by the way! But for them to choose on of my works was so very humbling and I am so proud that the painting they will gaze upon for this memory will be one of mine. Thank you all. “On the vine” found its new loving home just a week after it’s creation! What a great and fun couple they were! “Purple with swirling stars” went with it’s new owner from Iowa. I loved chatting with him as we looked upon that painting, both agreeing how it just grabs your attention and is quite fun to look at!

I am looking forward to doing this event again next year! There are some awesome artists at this one.
